FFVIIR Demo Available

FFVIIR Demo Available

Square-Enix released the Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo, previously leaked around Christmas, overnight on the PS Store! The demo covers the Mako reactor 1 bombing mission. Downloading the demo before May 11th will also unlock an exclusive PS4 theme.

Update: There appears to be some confusion because some gaming sites had their embargoes drop today for their experience playing a longer version of the demo than what the general public received. The public demo is only the first Mako Reactor mission.

Personally, I had an issue downloading the demo. If you go through the PS Store website or app and have my situation, it will not download and will not appear in the PS Store on the console to download, even though your PS4 woke up as if to do the download. If this happens, go into your Library (far right icon on your home screen) and change your filter to All (filtering it to games will keep the demo hidden), then you will find the demo in your library and can force the download.

Final Fantasy VII will launch exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020 (though it will presumably come to other console after a year based on box art). If you haven’t pre-ordered yet, you can do so here. Warning: Be aware that Amazon may not provide release day delivery at this time.

Square Extreme may receive a commission from any product links.
