Can we get rid of the censors already?! We all know what those @'s mean, reading the actual word isn't going to hurt anyone. Whose the genius, who came up with the @ system anyway? It looks ridiculous.
If the censor's are kept in, well then we'll all know what sort of priggish, blue nosed, prudes run this site than won't we?
There are also various ways around it, such as:
Fu/ck
Sh!t
@$$
Cocck

Yeah, that can totally @@@@ up a board ya know. Thing is, not everyone here is 18, and that breaks some kinda law, I think.

This is basically a suggestion so I'll move it there.
But I guess Iceman is right. I don't really mind it though.

To get around the @@@ thing just spell it the other way: arse.
If uncensoring isn't approved, I suggest changing '@' back to '*'. It looks cleaner that way.

We swear when we have nothing more intelligent to say. That is, when no words come to us to describe something...

Actually I swear because I enjoy expressing myself in unpleasent, perhaps even offensive terms. I've always considered myself to be a decently intelligent guy, and I take pride in my extensive skill with the dirtier part of our language. Any man that can't swear up a storm every once in a while needs a good clop in the chops to get his heart started, because he might as well be dead.

And that's why we all love you so much Squiddy =)

I do tend to agree with Rob to an extent. IMO there are some words that, because of today's society and views aren't considered taboo. Sh!t is one of them, arse being another, and to a lesser extent, d!ck.
Although if the US is like what happens on South Park ('Graphic deplorable violence is OK, as long as there aren't any naughty words!') then what I said above would be seen as more of a cultural thing than an 'evolution' of the English language.
By all means there are words that shouldn't be used, 'Feck' (e = u) is one of them, and the worst, IMO is the 'c' word.

I don't understnad why people feel these words are so offensive. A curse word is just another word in the English language. They all have an actuall meaning. S!it = excriment Feck = to reproduce hel|_ = a place you are damned to. Seperating these words and others and labeling them "bad" is just wrong. They're just a word. Oh that's a bad "a", and obscene "b" wow cover up that "c" it's too offensive. Please.

This has progressed into the most pointless topic in the forums history. Congratulations.
Also, for future reference, asking in nice, polite ways usually accomplish a lot. Calling me a prude doesn't. If you hadn't called me that, I probably would have removed them. Oh well. Sucks for you.
Oh, btw, I'm back.
