Somewhere toward the end of FF-X-2 you can talk to Shinra on the ship. He talks about the farplane, which I find to be quite similar to the lifestream of FF-VII. He is obviously a genius in the storyline and he talks about using the energy of the farplane as a power source. Kinda coincidental that his name just happens to be Shinra, the same as the evil corperation of FF-VII.

I'll try and find out exactly where and when in the game you can hear him say these things and post again with exact quotes, but I was just wondering if I was the only one who noticed this, or maybe I'm just dillusional.

Sorry. FF-X-2. Not FF-X. I'm an idiot, but at least I'm not ignorant of this fact.

I've never even played the game .. but that sounds kinda cool.

Hmm, I've been there, but I never realized it until now. Cool, good job!

Hey have you done the whole Oversouling thing? I did, you get the The End Garment Grid, which has Break HP and Break Damage Limits. If you activate all the nodes, you can use Finale! It's just a regular move, but my average level 99 Lady Luck can do 27,000 damage with it. :)

I've only played the game all the way through twice and didn't get 100% either time. After the second time, I thought about playing once more and trying to find all the secrets and events but just kinda lost interest. I probably have undiagnosed adult ADD. Its amazing I can focus enough attention to beating a final fantasy game even once.

Lol, that's true. It's hard to go back to a game if you've moved on. FFX-2 is the only one I've played more than one game on. :(

oh i wouldnt doubt Square would do somethin like that, theres little conections all over FF games, i usually get a boner when i find one hah. I'd say that all the games take place on the same planet, over vast different time spans etc. So throwing in the little tidbits is neato!

FFX, you have the Rufus Welcome March play at some point towards the beginning. All the games have Cid and Chocobos. Moogles are present in almost every FF world. Yeah, they're all inter-connected, in some way or another.

Well, I meant to a larger extent then simply moogles and chocobos, examples:

1. Check out the FF VII and FF VIII Game maps if you can, they are almost identicle with only a few changes (continents look mainly the same, mountains, forests etc) In fact the prison you spend time in near the beginning of the game (the desert one) is practically in the same spot as the FFVII gold saucer/prison area

2. I find it funny that FF VII talks alot of a meteor from long ago carrying Jenova "the calamity from the skies" that wounded the planet. At the very beginning of FF V a meteor hits the planet and throws off all the crystals, messing up the planet if you will..... the same meteor perhaps?

Wow, awesome. That's the kind of thing I love to know.

X-2... I bought it when it came out and I still haven't completed it. I don't have the patience for it. I found it to be rather crap.

Interesting. I like finding the connections.

In FFIX, you can talk to Locke in the Business District, I think. He talks about the Magi War.

If the Meteor hit earth once, more than likely, it won't survive to hit it again, unless you meant something else.

I think the Qu's Marsh battle area background and the Chrono Cross marsh background are the same, just with different color schemes.

I generally thought it was okay. But, something about the starting dynamics of the game kinda took out from a good playing experience. IMO, they shouldn't have started with the world completely accessable, maybe even done all new characters from scratch, just the same world and the past events of the FFX.

As for connections...yeah, they're all over the place. Small ones like the Cids, chocobos, moogles, and Biggs and Wedge(I'm not sure of all the FFs, but at least the recent ones). Then there's the theories of the bigger ones, that I've frankly given little thought to.

Well, if you want to look at it this way, keep in mind that these are, for the most part, the same people writing the stories, doing the artwork, etc. Even if they are not done on purpose, its hard to avoid reusing some aspects from previous games; it saves time, and its already engrained inside your head.
