Who voted for FF3? It's never been released in America. :p

The FF3 they released for the SNES is now called FF6.

FFVII is w/o doubt the best, but I enjoyed 8 better because Squall has the same personality as I do, so it was kinda errie, and awesome, to play as yourself.

I think seven was made the best .. you know .. not graphic wise but I really liked the materia system.

I wish that they would reuse the Materia system. It was quite a lot better and more original than anything else they've come up with. Junctioning drawn spells? What was that about anyways?

Not another one of these...

VI.

Epic story, lots of interesting characters, yada....and that wonderful opera scene. What I wouldn't do, who I wouldn't kill (ok, that was a bit extreme) for them to remake VI using today's production standards. Hell, I'd slit my mama's throat for this one. (if you didn't get that, then you just don't understand)

Why is 'final' on final fantasy 7 in italics? (on the poll)

No clue? It just went like that.

Maybe its just what you voted for :)

Lol yep, the new vb system italicizes the option you vote for in polls.

(Psst, did you know that we can open/close and edit threads just by double clicking from the topic list? How cool is that.)

VII. Duh.

Sorry. In all honesty, I love VII, IX, X, VI, V, IV and I. But VII was my first and shall be my last. :)

Time to hop back on the fanboy wagon:

VI, X-2 (yes, I love this off-shoot of a game...more so than X actually), VII (after piecing the story together with AC, it's climbed up on my list to top 3), IX.

Honorable mentions: I and IV..both were firsts...FFI for being the first FF game I've ever played, IV for being the first FF game that reintroduced me to FF while I was in middle school.

All others are mish-mash.

FFX-2 doesn't get nearly as much credit as it deserves. I think that's only because it had a lot of girl power scenes and the Blitzball sucked. The game was great, and I really like the replay option and different paths.

I also really enjoyed Oversouling everything and kicking Mr. T's ass in Via Infinito. =)

Maybe because FFVI was my first rpg I am a little influenced in my decision, but I've played almost all of them, some only once through, and as much as I love FFVII, and as the poll shows, so does the current majority of voters, I personally liked FFVI a little more. Just a LITTLE, so please don't tar and feather me.

Finally, a partner in crime.

FFVIII was the first final fantasy game I played, and it will probably be my favorite. They practically made a new battle system for it, and for the playstation, the graphics were really good. It seems like its the best MADE game, at least in my opinion.

oh plz, the magic/junction system in FF VIII is a joke. Theres nothing I love better then drawing magic from enemies for hours on end so that i can junction it and progress threw the game until i need to do it again. That and the game is one big teen soap-opera.
I really like the depth of the characters in IV, the story line of VI (you get Mog for gawd sake!) and everything about VII. VII for the win!

I agree, FFVIII was good but also pitifully easy. All you had to do was a) cast Aura and wait for the Desperation, b) have low health and wait for Desperation, or c) don't bother leveling up. It's also very easy to max out every single stat with the junctioning. My characters have around 255 everything and are immune to anything.

I really liked it, but it wasn't challenging. Melch even asked why I put Ultimecia up, and she was the final boss.

Yeah. VIII was easy as anything. It was almost a disappointment after playing VII. IX restored my faith, and I really liked X.

But FFVII will be my favorite game, I think, for all time.
