Dear Friends: Music of Final Fantasy

Wow... that's all I have to say.

I've been to symphony events before, but have never heard anything played as well or done as beautifully. Nobuo Uematsu did not make an appearance at the Atlanta venue, but he still addressed the crowd.

The event itself consisted of ten songs and two encores... The best part were the two encores, both of which were the exact same song... One Winged Angel. If you have not heard One Winged Angel played live by a symphony orchestra, you have NOT lived. It was absolutely the best musical experience I have ever had.

My finest musical experience involved a day of almost non-stop clambaking in a van, a venue performance by the Jonnie Earthquake Band, and hanging out with a guy named Joey who told stories about his uncles. They do a cover of "Smoke that cigarette" that had the whole place jumping. Goodtimes those where.

Man, one winged angel is the most *****inest thing ever. I can't even fathom how awesome it would be live. Did they have the Sephiroth choir too?

I've really wanted to see this concert ever since I heard of it. It's just too bad I'm not a geek enough to pay money for it..

WOW! One Winged Angel in full symphony? I can only imagine how awesome that would be. Hearing it performed by a full orchestra instead of from the tv screen as I kick Sephy's arse into the next dimension. I shall have to catch it sometime if I ever get any money. Hey, what else did he play?

I bet Aeris' theme sounded nice when done in full orchestra. I'm sure Not Alone was awesome as well. So what FMV did they play for One Winged Angel that was wrong?

Apparently, the plan was originally to play Liberi Fatali again as the second encore. So, the conductor took a poll of whether we wanted OWA again, or LF again. OWA was almost unanimous, so they played that song, but played the FMV from Liberi Fatali again. They corrected it after 10 seconds, but it was still funny.
