Maddened World

I stayed up late writing this =P

Life is full of self-deceptions and fear
Hate and death is all we know
Jealousy and pain makes us out to be savage beasts seeking our own blood
Bringing tears of sorrow
To those who still do little care
Whatever life and faith we have left in us

Why cannot we see the hurt and destruction and the perseverance into creating this world?
This world of shame and sadness
The Angels cry and weep over the loss of man's sanity
We are all going mad

Why are we slowly bringing this world shattering down?
Hate and confusion fill man's hearts and gives us the need to kill
But why

Do we not see the beauty that we are corrupting?
It seems ruin and annihilation are our game

Let's end this madness now
and stop shedding our blood
This all can be brought to a stand
Death cannot bring a new day

Oh Father, teach us once again
Take away this blindness
And show us the way
Guide us away from the darkness and bring us into the light of day

Love seems to be the last on the list
Greed and lies are our special guest
This world is indeed a sad place

I do not think I can look upon it anymore
Anymore

Yes, Zhan, that story did get me thinking of how much the world is turning to a bunch of bafoons.
I stayed up till almost 3 AM writing two other poems after this one, but they were about other things.
