The only one of that branch that survived the corruption is Shaman king. But then again in my view everything with Shamans is holy XD

They're bad, because they're just too damned mainstream. I'm still stuck in anime's past, where the good stuff is stuff few people know of...and the hentai's all good!

I really didn't like Doomed Megalopolis and Gowkaiser.

Big guy and Rusty the boy robot, Astro Boy, and all those other stupid cheesy wanna-be anime shows that show on ABC Family.

The only good ones on that channel are Shinzo and Medabots (heheheh, they're so corny)

Not for that single reason, I dislike Pokemon, Digimon, Beyblade and such because I couldn't watch them for more than 2 minutes before either wanting to change the channel or gouge out my eyes.

All the animes released in america meant for six year olds i dispise. The worst one would have to be that Tekken anime. It made oral surgery look pleasing.

My take on the mainstream anime are those on tv and those that only people 'know' of. Its like only knowing that there are only Ford trucks...but in fact, there are also Chevy, Toyota and Nissan trucks.

Maybe that's not a great answer...

Anyway, the mainstream anime, in my mind, is anime that is only a scratch on the surface of all that is anime. Kinda sad how 'mainstream' media is like that...keeping all the good stuff away from the public. Like the Love Hina and un-mutalated Initial D...

I'm just blabbing now, too much M&Ms.

initial d's story was not that good...extremeley repetitive...recycled tons of animation...sounds like a certain series mentioned in this post...
