I think that graphical signatures should be allowed, but with limitations. You would have to have at least 200 posts to prove that you arn't just a floater, and that you are gonna stick around for a while. You would have to pay 500 gil to actually be able to have a signature, and just like the avatar you would have to pay another 500 if you wish to change it. In addition the graphical signature could only be shown once per page. I think this seems fair.

I don't really care about singatures, makes loading a lot better, especially so since I'm using a 28.8k. But there is always the option of turning off sigs in the control panel, so I think that Melchior's limits are good. 200+ posts, 500gil per sig. Ad if you don't want to put up with them just turn it off.

You code it, beta test it, make sure it works, and install it on our servers and take the blame when it @@@@s everything up (every perfectly working script @@@@s up for SF), and its all yours =)

or you could just let us have graphical sigs.. limited by size and have us put it on some free service such as photobucket (www.photobucket.com)

I like not having graphic sigs. Sure, we aren't flashy or anything, but it just makes everything work so much smoother.

agh! dont talk about 56k! i feel sorry for all without broadband and with all the mmorpg's coming out have fun with the 56k :D The signature idea sounds good but if its to much trouble scrap it

Just turn the image code on...the people can use in their signatures...but only allowed 1 picture per sig...and not too big... that sounds cool to me. To just have flag's like this...

sigs would definitly make each member nore unique in this forum

however, i can understand that allowing sigs is a problem. this is a huge forum, and if every active member has a sig... could to imagine the cost of bandwidth, and lag? 0_o

From the standpoint of someone who works from a slower than ass computer, I thank daddy (or Robbles, I never can remember) that we don't allow the crazy signatures that will make these pages take two hours to load. Anyways, that's just my opinion.
